1. Consumer rights
1.1 Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit consumer rights that apply by law. Your rights depend on the circumstances of the purchase and service. This page is not a legal determination of whether a particular statutory cancellation right applies.
2. Consultation Bookings – 24-hour cancellation notice
2.1 Consultations (30 minutes, £25) are subject to a 24-hour cancellation notice period.
2.2 Example: If your consultation is scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 PM, you must cancel by Tuesday at 2:00 PM to avoid the full cancellation charge.
2.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will incur the full charge of the consultation price paid.
2.4 Cancellations made before the 24-hour deadline will receive a full refund within 14 days.
3. Private Vocal Coaching – 48-hour cancellation notice
3.1 One live, private 60-minute Private Vocal Coaching session costs £150 and is subject to a 48-hour cancellation notice period.
3.2 Example: If your lesson is scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 PM, you must cancel by Monday at 2:00 PM to avoid the full cancellation charge.
3.3 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time will incur the full charge of £150.
3.4 Cancellations made before the 48-hour deadline will receive a full refund within 14 days.
4. Development Programme
4.1 Price and structure: The Development Programme is one ten-session commitment, purchased for £1,400 paid in full upfront. Sessions 1–9 are 60 minutes each. Session 10 is 75 minutes and includes a 15-minute progress review and next-step plan. Sessions are completely individual and delivered live through Microsoft Teams.
4.2 Validity: The programme is valid for six months from the originally booked first-lesson date. Weekly sessions are strongly recommended; fortnightly sessions may work where necessary. Approximately two hours of independent practice each week is expected.
4.3 Eligibility and transfer: The programme is available from age 16. For a 16- or 17-year-old, a parent or legal guardian must purchase it and accept these terms. The programme is personal and non-transferable. It is one commitment, not ten separately purchased or separately refundable lessons. No result is guaranteed. Applicable statutory rights are not affected.
5. How to Cancel
5.1 Cancellation requests must be sent by email to matt@singtheeasyway.com with the subject line "CANCELLATION REQUEST."
5.2 Your email must include:
- Your full name
- Date and time of the scheduled lesson/consultation
- Date and time you are submitting the cancellation
5.3 Cancellation is effective from the time your email is sent, not when received.
6. Refunds
6.1 Refunds for qualifying cancellations will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.
6.2 Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the booking.
7. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled lesson or consultation without prior cancellation ("no-show") will result in the full fee being charged with no refund or rescheduling entitlement.
8. Rescheduling
Contact Matt to request a reschedule. Any agreed change is subject to availability and the cancellation notice terms above. Nothing in this section limits applicable statutory rights.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (technical failure, acts of God). In such cases, lessons will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
10. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, please contact matt@singtheeasyway.com. We aim to respond within 14 days.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Acceptance
By booking, you confirm that you:
- Have read these service terms;
- Understand that they do not remove consumer rights that apply by law;
- Agree to the service details and booking arrangements presented for the service you select.
13. Professional Artist Coaching
Professional Artist Coaching starts at £250 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. It is arranged through a separate confidential enquiry, with scope agreed before delivery. Recording, performance, production, pronunciation, diction and industry work may be included where agreed. This enquiry does not take immediate payment through ordinary coaching routes.
