Development Programme

Stop guessing. Start building the voice you actually want.

Most singers do not need another exercise. They need a plan.

The Development Programme is for singers tired of repeatedly fixing the same problems. You may have watched videos, tried exercises or had lessons, yet still hit the same wall.

Range that disappears. Confidence that comes and goes. A voice that works one day and feels unreliable the next.

Ten structured one-to-one sessions give us time to identify the actual blocker, work on it properly and build change into something more reliable.

Who the Development Programme is for

  • You know your voice is capable of more, but progress has stalled.
  • You improve during a lesson and then lose the improvement afterwards.
  • The same range, tension, confidence or consistency problem keeps returning.
  • You want a clear plan rather than disconnected lessons.
  • You want accountability and continuity.
  • You are prepared to work between sessions.

The programme may not be necessary if you have one isolated issue to work on. A single focused lesson may be the better option.

Why singers stay stuck

Range, confidence, breath, pitch and performance difficulties can be symptoms rather than the underlying cause. Repeating generic exercises may not address the particular blocker behind a recurring problem.

The programme makes space to look at what is happening in your voice, then work on it in the music and situations that matter to you. There is no guaranteed transformation; the work is specific to the individual singer.

What happens over ten sessions

This is a four-stage guide, not an identical curriculum. The structure is adapted to your individual voice, goals and songs.

Sessions 1–2

Diagnosis and clarity

We identify habits, pressures and patterns affecting the voice. The aim is for you to understand what is happening, why it may be happening and what needs attention.

Sessions 3–5

Building new habits

We work to replace recurring patterns with more useful ones, using your own voice, goals and songs.

Sessions 6–8

Applying it under pressure

We test changes in real music, including demanding songs and difficult notes, and in relevant recording or performance situations.

Sessions 9–10

Long-term consistency

We consolidate the work, identify what helps you maintain progress and outline a clearer independent route forward.

What you receive after every session

Your personal lesson materials include:

  • A recording of the lesson, with your agreement.
  • A written summary of the work covered.
  • A clear practice plan.
  • Access through your personal lesson folder.

These materials help you revisit the lesson without depending entirely on memory. Recordings are made only with your agreement; see the privacy policy for details.

What the programme is designed to develop

These are aims for the work, not guaranteed outcomes:

  • Greater vocal consistency.
  • A better understanding of your individual voice.
  • More confidence applying changes in songs.
  • Reduced reliance on guesswork.
  • Clearer practice direction.
  • More dependable technique.
  • Progress towards your individual range, performance or recording goals.

Why the programme costs less than ten separate lessons

At £85 each, ten separate lessons would cost £850. The programme is £700 and saves £150. It also gives the work continuity, structure and accountability across all ten sessions.

Programme questions

Why choose the programme instead of a single lesson?

Choose a single lesson for one focused issue. Choose the programme when a problem keeps returning, progress has stalled, or you want a structured body of work with consistent follow-through.

Can I start with a consultation?

Yes. The £25 consultation is available if you want a diagnosis and an honest recommendation before committing.

Is the programme suitable for beginners?

Yes, if you want structured development. The work starts from your voice as it is and is adapted to you.

How much progress should I expect?

Progress varies by singer, the issue being addressed, attendance, practice and how established existing habits are. There is no fixed result or timetable.

How long do I have to use the sessions?

All ten lessons must be used within six calendar months of purchase. See the Terms for the full conditions.

Your voice is probably capable of more than you think

You need clarity, consistency and a plan built around your actual voice—not more disconnected information. The programme identifies obstacles, works on them in context and gives you a clearer route forward.
